On Business And For Pleasure
A Self-Study Workbook for Advanced Business English
This workbook includes enjoyable challenges and has been designed to help students with the English they need for work.
This workbook, which consists of 60 short self-study units, is called On Business and for Pleasure because although it has been designed to help students with the Business English they need for their work, it is hoped that the challenges it sets will, at the same time, prove to be enjoyable. An Answer Key has been included so the learners can check what they have done, and thus work independently, if that is what suits them best. And the exercises are of the kind of length that will enable students to work on them when they have relatively short periods of time to spare, such as while commuting to and from work on public transport. The size of the book should make this convenient too, with it being available in paperback rather than in a larger format.
REVIEWS & ENDORSEMENTS
- Michael, you are amazing! You are a hen laying 3 or more eggs a day...and golden eggs at that! ~ Andrew Wright, master storyteller and author - Hungary
- Michael has condensed a vast body of experience into a series of highly targeted activities, so that a student will always find any investment of time and energy richly rewarded. ~ Ben Feben, BA, Cambridge DELTA , Oxford House College, London
- I've been looking through the business book Michael Berman wrote - it's good beyond words and I take my hat off to him!!! Once again he has put together a range of activities which cater for different learner styles and which business people are going to find mind boggling!!!!!! Having taught business people over a number of years and in various settings, I strongly feel that THIS is the piece of the puzzle that is missing from business textbooks, not to mention the fact that business people can work on it independently!!!! Well done!!!!! ~ Makkie Malyari, BA, Cambridge DELTA, teacher and teacher trainer, Greece
- On Business and For Pleasure is meant to be used as a self-study book and of course it is very good to this end, but I think it can also be used to supplement to a course book in class. I like the layout, grammar and lexis and the Answer Key is very convenient for the student. I hope my University will order several copies after the book is published. ~ Professor Otar Mateshvili, Head of the Language Centre, Saint Andrew the First-Called University of the Patriarchate of Georgia
